Dima Rumiantcev
Was born and raised in a small town outside of Saint-Petersburg, Russia, known as Peterhof. His upbringing had vast nature and lovely landscapes, like the five 17th Century parks that surrounded his home. Such surroundings awakened an interest in gardening; creating beautiful gardens became his childhood dream. At the age of 13, he started working summers at the Peterhof Palace grounds, the “Russian Versailles,” as a gardener.
Dima’s passion led him to study landscape design. He received his diploma in Landscape Architecture from Saint-Petersburg State Forest Academy in 2008.
In 2012, he relocated to New York City, where he continued his studies and received his Horticulture Certificate from Brooklyn Botanical Garden. Now, he is Certified Landscape Designer from The New York Botanical Garden, a knowledgeable gardener, and a proud co-owner of a successful cafe in Red Hook, Brooklyn.
In 2016, Dima established DiMastery Studio, and a year later he acquired an active space for wood working, plant propagation, and a green nursery to further develop his craft. Dimastery is the result of decades dedicated to perfection.
